I've been trying to figure this out, but can't seem to get the table with the whilst to work for me.
Basically, we're trying to schedule a mixed doubles round robin where each player will play with each of the opposite sex once against each mixed double once.

So if there were 4 players, where player 1 is male, 2 is female, 3 is male, 4 is female, the matches would go like this
Round 1)  1-2 vs 3-4
Round 2)  1-4 vs 2-3

This is easy with 4 players, but can't figure out how to do it with 8 (4 male and 4 female) or 12 (6 male and 6 female) players.
I saw a booklet once that had all these combinations, but don't remember what the name was.

Is there a way to get the table on the https://www.devenezia.com/downloads/round-robin/rounds.php to do the job?
Thanks

As the number of players increases you will have many more mixed doubles opponents than there are opposite sex partners, so you will need some other criterion to optimise.  The best solutions to these problems are where you prevent spouse pairs from playing in a match together.  For example 8 players:

  (H1 W3 v H4 W2) (H2 W4 v H3 W1)
  (H1 W2 v H3 W4) (H2 W1 v H4 W3)
  (H1 W4 v H2 W3) (H3 W2 v H4 W1)

for other shedules follow the links:

10 players

such a schedule for 12 players does not exist (mathematically impossible).

16 players
18 players
32 players

Hope that helps.
