Title: 6 teams competing in 5 different games
Post by: harmtemolder on July 01, 2015, 05:05:32 PM
Hi all,

I'm working on a schedule to have 6 teams compete against each other in 5 different games where each team should play each game and each other team only once. So far without success. Does someone have a solution for this? Or could someone teach me how to reach the solution myself?

I hope you have not spent too long working on this, as such a 5x5 arrangement does not exist.  The smallest possible solution is a 7x7 square for 8 teams (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_square).

I ended up ditching the demand that each team should play each other team. In my specific case it was more important for all teams to play all games once
