Title: 8 team tournament 3 teams playing per dAY

I HAVE 8 TEAMS FOR A TOURNAMENT AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO PLAY EACH OTHER ONCE. I WANT TO HAVE A MAXIMUM OF 3 TEAMS PLAYING EACH OTHER PER DAY EG TEAM A, TEAM B, TEAM C . A V'S B, B V'S C, C V'S A. HOW MANY DAYS WILL IT TAKE TO PLAY EVERY TEAM AND WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE

You could use this schedule for 8 golfers, so you would play 8 days with 3 teams all playing each other, then there would be 4 days of 2 teams to complete the all-plays-all tournament.   I don't think you will be able to do much better than this, perhaps a 10 or 11 round schedule is possible in a 3 team format, but some pair of teams will have to meet twice.
