Title: Golf trip for 8 guys - 7 rounds

8 guys going on trip for 7 rounds. We want to pre-schedule who is in which foursome each round and aviod repeat groups if possible. I thought it would be easy but clearly not - any ideas.

Once the groups are made we leave the teams and bets up to each foursome so its just the foursome we care about

I think this shedule should work:

( 2  4  6  5)  (1  7  3  8)
( 3  5  7  6)  (2  1  4  8)
( 4  6  1  7)  (3  2  5  8)
( 5  7  2  1)  (4  3  6  8)
( 6  1  3  2)  (5  4  7  8)
( 7  2  4  3)  (6  5  1  8)
( 1  3  5  4)  (7  6  2  8)

Each pair of players occur together within a foursome exactly three times.  Also no two foursomes have three players in common.
