Title: 6 team double round robin in 2 locales

I need to schedule a volleyball league in which each team plays two macthes per night.  There needs to be 3 teams at each gym.  The host team will play, rest, and play again.  The other 2 teams at each site will play back to back and leave.

So week one would look something like this:

@ Team 1
1 vs 2
2 vs 3
1 vs 3

If I have understood correctly, then this is a mathematical impossibility.  The double round-robin can be arranged as you describe with 10 subsets of 3 teams, but the schedule would have to be played over 10 weeks.  Arranging the 10 subsets over 5 weeks with 3 of teams at one location while the other 3 teams attend a second location is the impossible part.

Thanks for looking.  I'll have to bring all the teams to one gym with 2 courts and each will play 2 matches per night over 3 time slots for at least a few of the nights.  I'll still be able to do this in 5 weeks.
