Hi, I need help with a tournament schedule featuring 14 teams and 8 separate events. Any given team will only play another team once, and every team will compete in each separate event only once. In this format, I believe there will be one "open" event per round since there will be 7 potential matchups and 8 events.

If anyone could provide a solution or point me towards a solution, I would appreciate it so much!

Thank you,
C

The schedule below should work for you,  where the 14 teams are represented by the letters A to N.

(A G) (---) (F D) (E N) (C K) (J I) (B M) (H L)
(C N) (J K) (E G) (---) (H I) (M L) (A D) (F B)
(B D) (A N) (M H) (F G) (---) (E K) (J L) (C I)
(H J) (B G) (C L) (M D) (F N) (---) (E I) (A K)
(F I) (C E) (B K) (A L) (J D) (H G) (---) (M N)
(---) (M I) (J N) (H K) (B L) (A F) (C G) (E D)
(M K) (F L) (---) (B I) (E A) (C D) (H N) (J G)
(E L) (H D) (A I) (J C) (M G) (B N) (F K) (---)

All 14 teams appear exactly once in each row and once in each column, finally a team's 8 opponents are all different.   Because of the symmetry you can assign rows and columns to rounds and events either way around.
