Hi everyone
I can't find a round robin scheduled that works for darts. a typical dart league is as follows. we have 8 teams. two teams play each other at a time meaning 4 matches. now each team has 4 players in a side. they must play round robin. meaning 16 games on two boards. then end of league all 8 teams must have played each other twice home and away. So, I need a scheduler that can do this with either 4 players on a team or 6 players on a team. I have been searching for months and just can't find one that can do teams players and boards......

If I am understanding correctly, then you need two schedules. The first shows which teams play together and where, and the second is the schedule for the boards when two teams meet.

The first schedule you can get from the Excel file in this thread, make sure that you get version 5.1 from the first message.  In the Excel file specify 8 teams, Home/Away and check the box for 'double round-robin'.

For the second schedule you can use one of the examples below for the individual games between two teams A and B, played on two boards.

4 players per team
Board 1 Board 2
(A2 B2) (A1 B3)
(A3 B4) (A4 B1)
(A1 B4) (A2 B1)
(A4 B2) (A3 B3)
(A3 B1) (A4 B4)
(A2 B3) (A1 B2)
(A4 B3) (A3 B2)
(A1 B1) (A2 B4)

6 players per team
Board 1 Board 2
(A5 B3) (A2 B1)
(A6 B4) (A4 B5)
(A3 B6) (A1 B2)
(A4 B3) (A3 B2)
(A6 B6) (A1 B4)
(A2 B5) (A5 B1)
(A2 B4) (A6 B3)
(A1 B5) (A4 B6)
(A5 B2) (A3 B1)
(A5 B5) (A2 B6)
(A3 B3) (A4 B4)
(A1 B1) (A6 B2)
(A3 B4) (A1 B3)
(A4 B1) (A5 B6)
(A2 B2) (A6 B5)
(A4 B2) (A3 B5)
(A1 B6) (A2 B3)
(A6 B1) (A5 B4)

Ian
thank you very much. would be great if someone can design a excel sheet with both these options on one sheet. when we play a tournament it takes so long to finalize the draw due to the fact that teams can only be known after registration. so if we have a tournament scheduler where you can say 30 teams 8 boards 6 player or 4 player per team and he can then calculate the blocks. normally we have around 8 teams in a block where we play round robin. then the top two teams proceed to knockout for the winner division. team 3 and 4 proceed to the plate division. the rest fall out

but what you send me already helps alot
