I host a big golf trip, usually with 16 players total. We always play a "match-play" championship bracket while playing four rounds of golf. (We cut from 16 to 8 to 4 to 2) It works out great.
Now we have four more guys, just joined us late, and want to get into the match-play bracket.
My question is this -- since it is too late to add a fifth round to our trip, can I do a single elimination round tourney with 20-guys in only four rounds?
If not, any suggestions to somehow include the other four guys?
Plus, we already had our first round matches drawn for, so no one wants to mess with that original bracket. Thanks for any help here.
