10 Team League, 4 time slots

Hello!

I apologise if this has been answered already, I've been searching but couldn't find anything that matched my request.

I am looking to make a 10 Team Netball League, with 14 rounds. Obviously not every team can play each other twice, so long as they all play once is fine.

We can only offer 4 timeslots, so 2 byes a week, as many of these posts also have. However, I would prefer not to have teams on back to back byes, preferably 3 week minimum gaps between byes at all times

is this possible?

I think the schedule below is about the best that can be done in terms of bye separation, if every team is to play each other team exactly once.

  ( 7  9) ( 6  3) ( 4  2) (10  1)    [5  8]

  ( 3  4) ( 7  5) ( 6 10) ( 8  2)    [1  9]
  ( 4  5) ( 8  1) ( 7  6) ( 9  3)    [2 10]
  ( 5  1) ( 9  2) ( 8  7) (10  4)    [3  6]
  ( 1  2) (10  3) ( 9  8) ( 6  5)    [4  7]

I think you could use this as the basis of your league and then add an extra 2 and three-quarter rounds to get you to 14 weeks.  Hope that helps,
