Is it possible to do a schedule with say 12 or 16 players with only 2 or 3 courts respectively?  I am new to all this and having  trouble understanding how to make it possible.  It is for a group that will play over multiple weeks with members having bye weeks of course.  Thanks in advance.  If this has been answered please let me know where to look.

How to schedule 12 players and 2 courts is described here.  It is possible to do this by rearrangement of the standard whist schedule for 3 courts.  I will reply about 16 players separately.

Ian - Thank you so much.  I look forward to seeing the 3 court scenario.  Appreciate all your help. Phil

16 players and 3 courts also by the same method - the byes are in the column with the square brackets. You probably want to mix up the order of the rounds/rows since at the moment player 16 has 5 byes in a row at the end of the tournament.
