Hi Ian,  I'm back again.  This year for our Summer dart season, we have 36 players in 6 groups for a 9 week season.  Everyone had high praise for the schedule you made for us last year.

I have copied and pasted from last years request and modified it to meet the 36 player requirement.

Help!  We need a 36 person round robin schedule.  Each player will play the other 5 players in his/her group every week.  We would like to keep the duplicate opponents to a minimum, we realize there will be a few with only six sites and groups of 6.

This year we have 6 sites, with 6 players at each site.  I need each player to play everyone else at least once during the course of the 9 week season.    We have the nightly schedule for the group at each site.

Week 1

Site A
Players 1-6

Site B
Players 7-12

Site C
Players 13-18

Site D
Players 19-24

Site E
Players 25-30

Site F
Players 31-36

Each player plays the other 5 players at his site 3 games of darts for one point per game.   There is a nice prize for the winner(s) at the end of the season, so fair play would be beneficial for all.

Thanks (again)

Phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for coming back, it's good to know that it worked out last year.

I think the following scedule should work for your 36 players.

(2 12 13 16 33 32) (28 10 4 7 14 22) (20 36 29 11 3 26) (9 21 18 23 1 5) (31 27 34 35 6 8) (17 25 24 15 30 19)
(3 13 14 17 34 33) (29 11 5 8 15 23) (21 28 30 12 4 27) (1 22 10 24 2 6) (32 19 35 36 7 9) (18 26 25 16 31 20)
(4 14 15 18 35 34) (30 12 6 9 16 24) (22 29 31 13 5 19) (2 23 11 25 3 7) (33 20 36 28 8 1) (10 27 26 17 32 21)
(5 15 16 10 36 35) (31 13 7 1 17 25) (23 30 32 14 6 20) (3 24 12 26 4 8) (34 21 28 29 9 2) (11 19 27 18 33 22)
(6 16 17 11 28 36) (32 14 8 2 18 26) (24 31 33 15 7 21) (4 25 13 27 5 9) (35 22 29 30 1 3) (12 20 19 10 34 23)
(7 17 18 12 29 28) (33 15 9 3 10 27) (25 32 34 16 8 22) (5 26 14 19 6 1) (36 23 30 31 2 4) (13 21 20 11 35 24)
(8 18 10 13 30 29) (34 16 1 4 11 19) (26 33 35 17 9 23) (6 27 15 20 7 2) (28 24 31 32 3 5) (14 22 21 12 36 25)
(9 10 11 14 31 30) (35 17 2 5 12 20) (27 34 36 18 1 24) (7 19 16 21 8 3) (29 25 32 33 4 6) (15 23 22 13 28 26)
(1 11 12 15 32 31) (36 18 3 6 13 21) (19 35 28 10 2 25) (8 20 17 22 9 4) (30 26 33 34 5 7) (16 24 23 14 29 27)

Everyone should play each other either once or twice.

Hope that works for you.

Ian.
