Scheduling for Sixsome pairing for 60 players

Hi IAN,  

 I am looking for the table that shows the sixsome pairings for a total of 60 players, Each player, plays with all 59 possible partners exactly 5 times,with 59 rounds, do you think this is possible to solve?

Hi Sezuh,

I do believe this is possible, but I don't know how to construct the schedule.

If you Google for the search terms:

table RBIBD existence

then look at the table in the 2nd edition of the Handbook, it is showing 'no exceptions' for k=6 and lambda=5, which is the class to which your sixsome schedule belongs.

Generalized whist designs might be useful to you.  See this paper in the journal Discrete Mathematics.  If you scroll down to Example 28, this gives you the initial round of cyclic schedule for 66 players.
