Please help me with a round robin grid for 16 fixed bridge teams of 2 players each.  There are 4 teams playing at 4 different homes at the same time.  We play once a month Sept through April and end with May luncheon and announce winners.  I hope this is easy for someone.  It is impossible for me

I have put together the schedule below which I think will work.  The fixed teams are numbered 1 to 16, the first four groups in each row are the teams that meet together each month, the square brackets contain the 4 teams who host each month.

  SEP {16  4  6  7} { 1  2  3  5} { 8 12 14 15} { 9 10 11 13} [2  6 10 14]
  OCT {14 11  5  7} { 8  9  2  4} { 6  3 13 15} {16  1 10 12} [1  7  9 15]
  NOV {13  2 12  7} {14 16  9  3} { 5 10  4 15} { 6  8  1 11} [3  4 11 12]
  DEC {11 16  2 15} {12  5  6  9} { 3  8 10  7} { 4 13 14  1} [5 16 13  8]
  JAN { 2  6 10 14} { 1  7  9 15} { 3  4 11 12} { 5 16 13  8} [3  6  8  9]
  FEB { 8  4 14  7} { 9  2 11  5} {16 12  6 15} { 1 10  3 13} [5  7 10 12]
  MAR { 9 13 16  7} {10 11  4  6} { 1  5  8 15} { 2  3 12 14} [1 11 14 16]
  APR { 2  6  1  7} { 3  4  5 16} {10 14  9 15} {11 12 13  8} [2  4 13 15]

By the end of January every team should have met every other team exactly once.  Note that every teams hosts once in the 1st four rounds, and once in the 2nd four rounds, team 8 ends up hosting twice in a row.

Hello - I'm trying to set up a marathon bridge playing schedule for 14 pairs to play over a 7 month time period. Games are played between 2 teams at time in individual homes with each pair taking a turn hosting the games. Would you be able to help? I saw the schedule for the 16 pair - can I just eliminate 2 pairs and use that schedule?
Thank you very much for your help, Janice

Hi Janice,

I don't think it is possible to change the schedule above to suit.  If I understand correctly then what you want is part of round-robin where teams are assigned home or away for each match.  The Excel generator here made the following:
