I run festivals with school teams competing against each other. . . your site has been the closest i've found yet to a template. the teams play for one hour so the games can be 5 mins or up to 10 mins long. we can use from 2 pitches to 6 pitches depending on staffing so am trying to find some templates. it wouldn't matter that they don't all play each other but eg. . . perhaps 3 teams from 1 school may be kept apart.

I'm struggling to find the ideal - it always takes ages to write a schedule.
I anticipate my next festival will be around 25 teams on 4 pitches.

THANKS FOR NOW but more help if possible

Yours in sport, Mick  :)

Mick,

I don't think I can offer any general solution to this sort of scheduling problem. As you say, it will take some effort to come up with a solution, so please write back when you have full details about exactly how many schools, teams per school, pitches and rounds and may be someone can offer you a solution.

Ian.
