I'm planning a golf trip in which I'll have 28 players and 8 rounds.  Is there a method in which each individual plays with 3 different guys each day?    I will actually only have 26 attending, so will assign two "ghost players".....

You can find a solution for 28 golfers and 9 rounds on Ed Pegg's Social Golfer Page.

I have 8 golfers for 7 rounds in an upcoming trip. We will be playing in 2-man teams, 2 foursomes per match. It is relatively easy to set the partners correctly (everyone plays with everyone once), but I cannot find a way to create foursomes whereby everyone plays together (in the same foursome) 3 times. It seems possible, but I am not sure. The 8-team Round Robin Tournament Scedule you have posted does not accomplish this. Any ideas?

This is exactly the same problem as scheduling a Whist tournament.  Use the Schedules button above, and then click on Whist.  Everyone plays with each other once as a partner and twice in opposition, and so in total, exactly 3 times together in the same foursome.
