Hello,
I am trying to schedule the following scenario fairly for the upcoming horseshoe season.  We have 19 teams, 2 players each.  We play 19 weeks on 6 pits.  We have 6 early games and 4 late games each week.  I would like to make it as even as possible that each team plays each team once and that the early and late games along with the distribution of pits.  Can anyone help with this schedule?  Thanks!  I can't seem to get this one on my own.

It's possible to complete the full round robin with only 6 early games and 3 late games each week.  I don't have a full solution, but you could start with version 4.3 of my Excel spreadsheet which you can find here and use this to obtain a schedule for 19 rounds on 9 courts.  Use the first six courts to represent the 6 pits in the early games, I would then spread the remaining 3 games in each round over the 6 pits in the late games and balance as best you can.  I doubt you will be able to find the optimal balance of teams on pits in the late games, but at least you will have people playing exactly two early matches each on the 6 pits.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for the solution.  Works wonderfully.
